Yeah, I tried once and have now gone into read only mode over there. That site had pretty low traffic before. I think you may soon see tumbleweed blow across your screen.

Its a site run by Autoguide. Their password database got compromised in February and they are using the most idiotic way possible to reset everyone's password.
You will have been sent an email to your register email address (fail 1 as many have not updated it in years) through their email servers (fail 2 as much of the mail is getting blocked as spam) containing your new email (fail 3 as it will be in plain text).
If you happen to be lucky enough to get the email, you will have to use the password which will then force you to reset it with a stupidly high level of security for a forum. It will probably be higher than your bank with a minimum of 10 characters, a capital, a number and a special character. Not 2 of 3, all 3 elements.
Now if you didn't get the email, you will need to use the contact me link on the website giving your user name and email address you need it to be. Now if you knew the wrong email then you could provide that. Quite how they prove it is you?
Oh, and you will most likely have to wait at least a week for anyone to be bothered to answer said use of the contact us link.
As an Admin of a forum which they purchased some time ago we have had this stupidity forced up our users despite warning them of how flawed it is as a process and having to take the barrage of fed up users, sorting their access out ourselves.
The worst company to own internet forums on the planet. They are completely inept in all they do.

I never got the original email about the hacking and needing to reset my password, but I was able to reset it anyhow using the "forgot password" tools. Did this weeks ago.

Your email address was up to date if the password reset worked. Many peoples aren't as they may have first registered 10+ years ago and changed since then.
On the forum we run, we have no idea how many people can't get back in due to this stupid way of doing it the owners imposed. We are still getting people create new accounts to contact the mods to get their accounts sorted as Verticalscope (Autoguide) are not responding.
Its been a shambles that they do not acknowledge they have screwed up. But thats usual for them to screw up updates, changes etc and never fix or acknowledge they have.

Yeah, I guess if you change email addresses, that could be an issue. Mine has not changed in over 20 years and probably never will since I have my own domain.
