Window tint effect on key fob
Does anyone know if window tint has a effect on key fob working. Took my 2004 CLK 500 to dealer and they replaced the amplifier but after a week it wasn't working again. Someone told me it could be the tint . Which window would I have to take it off to see if it works. Its a convertible . I replaced the battery several times still no luck.Thanks.

The tint itself won't cause problems, but installing it could. The antenna amp is glued to the top of the glass, and tint shops often damage it or its connection to the antenna embedded in the glass. But since you had this replaced, that's not the issue. I;d take it back to the dealer - their work and the part should be warranted.
