Quick Alignment Question
Hey Guys,
Just a quick one,
My W209 has Sport suspension Code 486
I wanted to know, should the alignment be performed with the car on or off,
I'll tell you why,
Every single time I take my car for alignment, I watch them do it, they let me straighten the steering wheel, and then lock it in place, perform the alignment, and then I take it on a drive, on a flat road, holding the steering straight, the car will go to the left,
we tried 3 times, eventually I asked them to idle the car in neutral and then do the alignment, which they did, and afterwards the car pulled straight,
Is this normal? what is the MB procedure with regards to alignment,
My car also has 213 - SPEED-SENSITIVE POWER STEERING/VARIO STEERING
Not sure if this has an effect, and explains why the car's steering is heavy, PS fluid is perfect,
Thanks Guys

are You guys sure. I don't understand then why the alignment only feels correct unless it's done on car idle.
Any WIS documents on W209 alignment

Both my CLKs have been aligned a couple times, and they were never running when the allignment was done, and they've always tracked fine. Definitely doesn't need to be running though.
