Black out grill or buy new one?

I love the look of the single slat grilles but think I might play with mine first. Post some pics of your blacked out grilles. Yes, I did search but the old pics will not load.

FWIW I sprayed my grill last night matte black. I dusted the whole thing with filler primer as the plastic chrome looked a lot worse once I got it in the house, lots of tiny pits. I then sprayed it with Krylon matte black. Came out awesome, I left the center chrome strip and the star chrome. I'll post pics soon.

Cool. Eventually you should get it profesionally painted. The spray paint won't last very long. Alternatively you could also wrap it in vinyl...or even plasti dip it if you're not looking for a glossy finish.

Plastidip is a great option to test the look.

I used it on my grill and its holding up 2 yrs later
