Question How to install hood emblem on 209

Can someone please help. I did a search, but still have problems. For some reason, there is no way i can take the hood emblem from underneath the hood. Its covered by metal, and i do not see any ****, springs or or screws. Its a piece of metal overlapping the hood.

As for the emblem i have, its a brabus emblem that has screws underneath. Its smaller than the factory emblem, so i cannot just glue it over the original one. Im lost in words and direction. Can anyone shed some light for me. Thanks

ok i finally know who to do it...DAmmit i actually got the wrong one. The one i bought on ebay is for a W203. I guess i need to sell it. AS for the w209 emblem, it should be a single peice with two platic pin that replaces the factory one. I used a think fyler and poped the emblem out. The only way to remove it is from the outside. Then the you take the aftermaket one and pop it in.

AMG_BRED: do you know anyone or anyplace on the web that sells the Brabus hood emblem for w209. I dont wanna pay $95 from brabus. Any sugguestions. thanks

brabusclko4,
brabus does not make a hood emblem for the clk yet. You have customize the w203 to fit the w209. I bouht the hole brabus package and they gave me the same w203 hood emblem. Its a ***** to install though.

Just got some front and rear emblems, couldn't get the front to fit so instead I used the rear emblem by getting two screws to screw the base into the two holes in the hood. Also hade to bend the base a little to be more flush. Still not exactly flush but it looks pretty good. I'll post pics later.

I got the trunk and hood emblem new from Peter (don't remember his screen name) for 40. I wasn't really sure about getting these but I couldn't pass up such a good deal. Anyways, the hood badge is kinda small with a larger chrome ring around it and doesn't fit into the small dimple on the hood. The rear badge looks a lot nicer imo cuz it's larger like the original mercedes badge and has more black to it to match the proportions of the big star better so this is what I used. The original emblem can be popped out by wedging a knife or something between the badge and hood. There are two plastic prongs on the back and it is pressure fitted. So be careful no to break it. Brabus emblem was bent using a hammer and plier. Be careful not to chip the chrome. Then find screws that have the tapered head and will fit just right and screw the base in. It already has holes that will line up with the holes on the hood. Pretty easy. I like the new sportier lookbut ended up having to paint the grille to match. Can't decide now if I should get another badge for the trunk or leave the star cuz the B doensn't look as nice on the trunk I think.

I have the 203 hood emblem; was gonna modify it to cover up my key hole since I don't use it but if you want it pm me. It's got two metal pieces that look the same and both beveled.
