Wind screen
Wind screen
I just picked up a used 2009 CLK350 convertible and discovered that there was no wind screen in the trunk. From the manual I get the impression that it was standard equipment for the convertible. I'll appreciate if someone in the know would tell me whether this is the case.
Also, how easy are these to find in this forum?
Thanks/Anker

They were standard as far as I know, but few people use them so they get lost or separated from the car. I've used mine once, but it blows flat at the speeds I drive, so I put it back in the basement. They are not hard to find on ebay, but people usually ask high prices, like $200+.

From my understanding, it was designed for situations when all windows are up. It removes all turbulence with the top down and even picky ladies with hair can ride w/o complaints. But if you put windows down... no difference and it will be flat on highway no matter what (matter of speed).
It also helps to ride with top down on cold days (50-60 F) and heater on. Top down, windows up, screen up and enjoy. Significantly cuts amount of incoming air.
Personally, I love mine.

They were standard on all the cars and do go missing all the time. I have a spare one that has approx 1/8 inch rip in it. I'll sell it for $125.00 plus shipping.
