Noticed that my car is low on coolant. Not to the extent where it signals a dash warning, but on looking inside the expansion tank, it's a fair way below the mark. It also reads low on a coolant tester. Though I've never had any issues, and I've not added water to it for over a year.
It's a Dec' 2006 car, I don't know if the coolant has been replaced, I shouldn't imagine so, the dealer said it should have the 15yr long life stuff in it. Car has about 130k miles. I'm not sure whether to get some coolant and just top it up, or whether to drain the coolant and fill with fresh long life mb spec fluid.
What are your opinions?

Replace it i replaced my using the wrong coolant 2months ago and this time am replacing it using RAVENOL HTC Coolant Antifreeze – Mercedes-Benz MB 325.0 VW G11 – Premix 5L
i was flushing my using a hose and then when empty i used distill water and run the car for like 5minutes and empty it and refill will do again as soon it warms up !

Common leaks are the tank itself (there's a gasket between the light black top and translucent bottom section), the nipple where the overflow hose attaches, and the water pump. Leaks at the water pump can be hard to find as it sprays on the back side of the pulley and get slung around and evaporates on the hot engine block.
If you are going to add "water", use only distilled water. If you are going to add coolant, get a compatible coolant and mix 50/50 with distilled water. Until you find the leak, I'd top it off. Once you find and repair the leak, then go ahead and do a full coolant change.

I've got a large store of RO-DI water that I produce for our marine reef aquarium, so I planned to fill up with that. While it's not distilled, it's as pure, if not purer.
