Mysterious Procedure.

I want to access the limit switches for the convertible roof, the ones above the windshield, but cannot find instructions to remove the trim panel anywhere. I have got as far as a lot of posts on A Panel removal which all have a pre-requesite job of AR68.30-P-4250QA which I cannot find anywhere! really grateful if someone could post this.

I assume you can lower the top? If so, then on top of the header by the rubber weatherstrip there some screws that hold that top piece on. It comes off fairly easily. If I remember correctly, that's all you need to do to access all the stuff inside there. That trim at the top of the windshield is two pieces, the top part that comes off easily, and the larger bottom part where your sun visors are that takes more work. But I think you can access all the electrics by removing only the top part. I think that's where the limit switches are. If you mean the trim panel on the top itself where the hydraulic actuator is located, that is also easy. There are like four screws you can see once the top is lowered, and then it just pulls off - held by about 4 post clips. If you cannot lower your top, you need to do that manual procedure to access everything you need to get to.

Also, if you do need to remove - or at least lower - the large bottom piece by the sun visors, you still need to remove the top piece first. That thing in the middle by your rear view mirror with those vents and emergency call button, etc is screwed on from above and you can only access the screws after you remove the top part. Don't just try pry that off or you will break it.

Awesome, I will try that ! I was going to go from the inside and remove the bottom piece first - so I think you just saved me some serious grief!! Thank you.
