2009 CLK 350
engine cover part #..
The forward cover on my 350, that says V 6, will not seat. One side will not pop into place.
anybody that's got the part# would be a good start, any other ideas might be helpful..

Have you checked the clips on the underside of the cover?
I have a 550 but I would think the engine covers connect the same. What holds it in place are clips that fit over "ball like" protrusions. If the clips on the underside of the cover or the "ball like" protrusions they fit over are damaged, the cover will not seat.
If it is not seated, you will get some unfiltered air into the intake.
