Those aren't MBZ DTCs- is there a setting in iCarsoft to give you the MBZ DTCs instead of generic OBDII codes? Also, those aren't even valid OBDII codes as they should be five characters (P + 4 numeric)

my mistake..should have been P172, P175

need to add some info..I changed the oil a few weeks ago, and some oil slid down the funnel onto the headers, while warming the engine there was some smoke coming off the oil on the engine from the spill..could this have fouled the MAF?
I have cleared the codes, and let the car run at idle , but no CEL.
Ill drive it and see what happens

No, some burning oil on the exhaust manifold would not bother the MAF sensor.

Those codes are just missing a single 0 in front of them :-)
I had P0075 on My Citroen. It ended up the mechanic put the Knock sensor where the intake solenoid valve should be... swapped around. After fixing that I received a rather large performance increase, but I believe that's because of the knock sensor, not the solenoid valve. But I dont KNOW that :-D

If you are chasing only with OBD codes, P0075 will be the solenoid valve. You can test a solenoid valve with a battery to see if it extends or not. Else it might be the circuit. If you google with the 2 zero's you should find more info.

Whether the OBD codes match with Mercedes I dont know. But OBD is a required standard that cars should comply with, and so I believe there should be some truth behind your codes, else it's not compliant :-P But again... I dont KNOW that :-D

many thanks to all..

cleared the codes, and ran the car for 30 or 40 miles, the burnt oil smell is gone and the car ran normal. No CEL. a spill of oil on the manifold sure can take some time to burn off. Hope it didn't cause any damage.
I did take the filters out and cleaned them both, They were not dirty.
ill keep a eye on it, and buy a better funnel for the next oil change

Those codes can be caused by a vacuum leak. Also, they can be cause by the engine cover (i.e. air filter housing) not being properly seated over the MAF sensor.

clearing the codes and driving for about hr, would that be enough time for the CEL to come back on if I had a vacuum leak?
I cleaned the filters and thought I seated the cover over the MAF firmly enough.

Probably, but it could be temperature dependent - rubber hoses and seals shrink and expand based on temperatures.

CEL is back on, now 4 codes..

2092..2096..0742..0750.
The icarsoft pulled them.
The MAF is tight..Is this a vacuum leak somewhere else?
will it hurt the car to drive a few miles (20) to the dealer?

Check the pressure sensor - and check for vacuum leaks on its hose:

It could also be a bad MAF sensor, but 20922 and 2096 usually point to the pressure sensor.

I have spilt plenty of oil on manifolds over the years, never had any problems. Of course I am much more careful these days. Definitely coincidence or something else was disturbed. I would get a scan at the dealer. I am always impressed how much information they can get from star.

ive about decided to take it to the dealer, Monday.
Cleaned the MAF..twice.. it coughed and sputtered, turned it off. started it again about 30 mins later and ran smooth. belt had a squeak but went away after the car warmed up.
cleared the codes and after about 20 mins at idle still no new codes. I do think it will come back. I have to go about 20 miles to the local dealer, and I hope it wont do any damage.
