K&N filter installation

Bought 1 K&N filter for my CLK500, looked under the hood and to my surprise I could not locate the air box. I can see the left and right air intake ducts that direct to the rear of the V8. Is this where the air box is? And is it hidden under the black plastic engine cover? I'm sure somebody has done this before. I would like to get some help with instructions and photos . This is my first time and I don't want to mess it up.

first things first, you need 2 filter elements, next you pull off the 2 ducts from the radiator intake scoops and filter box(engine cover)next you remove the front panel with the star on it,now grab the airbox and give it a firm pull straight up or kind of rock it side to side, once off turn it upside down and on each end you find the intake tube where the ducts hooked up to,around that chamber are 4 torques head screws that separate the filter area, remove them and insert your filters and re-tighten,now put it back together
