Reduce Engine Oil Level warning
So I am wondering if it's a bad sensor or a clogged filter (as in, the mechanic didn't change the filter). Is there a way to check for sure?
Anyone else get this warning randomly?
EDIT: I checked the coolant as well. Looks fine. So is the coolant level. I also checked the area around the head gasket, no oil. I have driven at least 60 miles freeway since then, and the warning has not come back. I am starting to lean towards the oil filter being gummy or the sensor going out. If it comes back though, I will have my mech recheck the oil level and perhaps drain out a bit. Then maybe a flush, sensor replacement and refill.

1. Set the display to temperature.
2. Put key to position 1
3. Press the reset button 3 times. You wil hear a beep and the display will go into dyno mode.
4. Go to the next dyno screen, the oil level will show "-" (or blank)
5. Start the car and the exact oil level will show.

I usually check and then drive off.
Fun to see the oil level goes up and down while driving!
