Do the cabs have the same windshield as the coupes? I see an antenna wire in the middle of the front windshield. Is that for radio, satellite radio, something else? Is that unique to cab? Any advice on acceptable replacement brands?

No, the cabriolet windshield is different. My suggestion would be to cal your local MBZ dealer and ask who they use for glass (most dealers don't do the work themselves). I've had bad luck with glass replacement lately. Safelite almost cut all the wires leading to the mirror, rain/light sensor and OCP. And they used cheap Chinese glass that was distorted and pitted and scratched easily. Then Glas Doctor did it and scratched the dash, then screwed up rearview mirror mount, then had to replace the glass and screwed up the OCP. These glass shops just hire cheap labor and they need to make volume, so they work quickly and carelessly.
