What kind of setting is you remote locking?

Hi guys,

I may have a little trick for every on the forum regarding remote control locking....... I know this is the case for Aust spec CLK and maybe C-Class coupe or even CL, SL, another words for all 2 door coupes.

Default setting:
When you press the unlock button on the remote, both doors unlocks and the boot is also unlock which is not the best thing if there is a protential theft around the corner......

New setting:
When you press the unlock button on the remote, only the driver's side is unlocked, the passenger and the boot is still lock until the unlock button on the remote is press the 2nd time.... which I believe is the default settings on all the seden already (C, E, S).

Let me know if this is the case before I post the solution on the site.....

BTW, it is reversable, from one setting to the other.

Cheers,
Ho

this is on the user manual, and they tell you how to set your key to do this function. first you go to ur driver side door sensor, point you key to it and press both lock and unlock bottom. You'll see the light on your key flash twice confirming that function is set. I think this is how it goes....if not i'll go back and check on my manual haha!!! good luck guys...
