Engine Clean

hi guys, since the weather is getting better here in Portugal day after day, i decided to clean my engine. Together with a friend of mine we started cleaning the CLK 240 only forgot to take the initial pictures sorry but you can see the diference. We used a degreaser from 1z and also a finishing product from them to make it shiny and protected it too. Was a very nice morning and with no rush we did my CLK, his Leon and my Wife´s Altea. So heres are some pictures.

That looks really nice. I've been putting off doing the same thing, as well as doing a complete polish and wax of the body. Will see if I can find the product from the info you've given.

looks really good.....

I use a cheap aerosol can of silicone oil spray. Spray on the surface, wipe with a rag, quickly buff with another cloth and it leaves any covers or pipes looking just like yours in the photos. Very cheap and lasts forever. Doesn't even attract dirt or dust. I've only done it twice in the last year and a bit. Makes a big difference when you're working around and under the bonnet.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Be careful with silicon sprays - they kill O2 sensors. Any vacuum leaks or getting silicon sucked through the intake an do this.

Purple power followed by No Touch tire spray (once dry) gets mine clean and shiny. Just rinse off the PP pretty quick especially on aluminum.
