Insurance question with changing exhaust system

Hi there,

I got a lot of info. yesterday and the day before you what exhaust system to get. I was just wondering for those of you who have changed an exhaust system, does the warranty still cover it? Because I just bought the car in Sept03, and I have warranty with extended warranty as well. I was talking to my dad and he said warranty might not cover if I change things to my car. Any of you know if warranty still covers if we do anything to the car such as changing the exhaust system? thanks

Im not 100% sure, but to my knowledge, changing the exhaust should not void your warrent. My previous lexus, I had an aftermarket exhaust as well as intake, and the dealer still did its regular service. Im sure you will be fine if you have an aftermarket exhaust. Hope this helps

The only way an aftermarket item can void your warranty is if it is proven by the dearl or manufacturer to of caused a defect. You will be fine with an exhaust, your Service Advisor may give you some hassle about it, but nothing to worry about.
