Yellow light on dash
I took the CLK out for a short run to check to see if there were water leaks after changing the water pump.
After a few miles the yellow warning diagnostic light illuminated in the clock, what is likely to be the problem.
Please do not ask me what codes are there, I have not got a code reader but I have one on order and it will be with me next week.
It would just be nice to know what my next problem will be.
Are these modern cars always like this .

Rodney,
The scanner arrived today and on connecting it up I get the following results ,
B1035 input signal to circuit 15 not ok.
B1032 " " " 15a not ok.
B1003 Component M13.
B 1089 Fault in CAN.
B1084 Circuit 15.
B1050
B1051
B120D Dimming mirror short circuit.
I must say the instruction booklet leaves a lot to be desired.
Is there anything in the above that should illuminate the blue warning.
I also tried to enter another !zone! re OBD11, this resulted in a long list and all said FAIL.
Then a notification asked - Verify if system is OBD 11 Compliant.
I obviously have a lot to learn on this machine, your help is very much needed.
Looking forward to your reply.

When I scroll down the list I come to -
EIS - Electronic Ignition
No DTCs
Is that what you mean?
Do the faults that I highlighted in the previous post mean anything?
I tried again today to get into OBD11 section and I got the following -
OBD11 Diagnose
Error in system please check
1 - If ignition is on. (which it was).
2 - Verify that the vehicle is OBD11 compliant. (is it compliant) ?

I've not use iCarsoft myself, but looking at the documentation, when you first plug it in, you should get a menu for "Diagnose / Tool Setup / Tool Information". Choose "Diagnose" then "Benz", then "209-CLK Class(up to 03/20" if you have the pre-facelift version, or "209-CLK Class (as of 04/20" if you have the post-facelift. If you are not sure which you have, it's simple to tell. Pre-facelift cars have the wood (or metal) trim surrounding the radio. The post-facelift, the radio faceplte fille the panel completely between the dash opening.
At that point, you may need to choose between coupe and cabriolet, then gasoline or diesel, then steering side and actual badge/engine. Once you get through that, you should have a list of modules. You'll want to choose ME-SFI to scan for ECU codes (that is what illuminated the MIL).

Yes, I have completed all the registration points that you high lighted, the system also confirms the vehicle VIN #. but there is nothing like ME-SFI for ECU.I will run through it again tomorrow and post the list.
Does non of the above results mean anything?

I think those are codes from the EIS (a.k.a. EZS) and they are all CAN bus errors, which are often caused by low battery. Those would not illuminate the MIL.
