P0025 I kow it out there but .....
I have the dreaded P0025 'B" Camshaft Position _Timing over Retarded (Bank 2) Now I did change the can shaft sensor and that did not fix but why not? What if the changed the magnet has anyone done that? with success? I don't have the money to fix this ...Also has anyone got a exemption form the state emissions **** ...Massachusetts . I have reset it and it stays off for a while so I can get my inspection sticker but come back, what if I want to sell the car ..ugh!!! I bought this with 32k and it has 80k now ..I just wan to make sure it not the sensor cause the only code I get I s p0025..CAn you image the poor guy that get the gear change when all it may have been was the camshaft position sensor 2006 clk 350

You replaced the sensor? That won't fix it - you need to replace the solenoid (a.k.a. cam magnet). In fact, you need to replace all four solenoids. It's covered here under Scenario #2 (OBDII code P0025 = DTC 0064):

The four solenoids will cost about $100:

It's a few hours of work. You will probably have to remove the oil cooler to access the left side so you'll need a new seal for it ($7) and you'll need to drain the radiator, so go ahead and replace the coolant (gallon of Zerex G-05 is $20 + mix with a gallon of distilled water, $1).
