Why would you want or need something else.

Suspension

Just a thought,, Love my 03 SL500, dying for a SL55 amg, can’t afford, sadly, However thinking at least looking into a CLK55 amg because its inevitable with my car having 167k ABC will eventually bite it and I’m yearning for an AMG Car with normal suspension; of course I love m113. I would love a supercharged engine like cl -sl - e55 ,, is there’s m-113k supercharged Benz withstruts in the $12,000 range ? Any advise/ comments appreciated. Love AMG it’s time! Mb world is great everyone is so kind with all there shares. THANKS TO EVERYONE; STEVEO4

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I don't know about prices, but the E55 could be bought with a normal suspension, though many came with the AIrmatic system. Personally, I'd keep the SL. ABC may need some work, but if you DIY, it's not that bad.

I have a CLK63 near 120k miles now. I actually won it in an auction from California and got it brought into Texas. I have only see another one around here, so they are super rare. I plan on going for 150k miles and then buying another CLK 63 with low mileage later on, but I actually have my eye set on a black series! I LOVE these cars. They drive so much smoother than the new ones. Not only that, but they look so beautiful and never outdated. Only wish it had Bluetooth. I installed a third party one, but it sucks. (If anyone has Bluetooth recommendation please let me know) I do have a 2014 Mercedes for that though so yay.

Oh yeah, I also have a 2005 CLK 500 and that was before I got the CLK 63. I am selling it as it is just time after having that one for 5 years. I have 5 cars and they are all sport/sedans and I need a Jeep Wrangler..bad.

They also just look great! Especially if you get a great example like I did. 2 out of 3 CLK's. My 2009 CLK350 has designo interior and my 2005 CLK55 AMG Coupe. To this day they still turn heads and get some looks. Not bad for a 10 year old and 14 year old MB. Fact is they do not make many coupes anymore. It seems that everything is SUV's. In NY where I live almost nobody has a 2 door coupe it seems. The coupes not a days have 4 doors. CLA Coupe? CLS Coupe? No that is not a coupe lol.

CLK350 2007

My CLK 350 was the first convertible I ever drove and have loved it since I bought it 7 years ago. As many here have said, the interior looks and feels very “Mercedes” and the exterior is timeless... very often when driving with the top down I get thumbs up from total strangers... also, the acceleration and dynamics are great. It’s been a little expensive as of late (had to change the manifold due to broken flappers), but still I’m planning to keep it another 2 year and pass it to my son. Then I’m planning to get a 2014 E Cabriolet, hopefully with same color/interior combination. Adding the iPod integration kit has made my summer commutes very, very enjoyable!

I plan to keep hanging on for several reasons.

1. I've always liked the styling of these hardtop coupes. Classic.
2. I just bought mine last month!
3. It has been driven less than 20k miles.
4. V-8 puts out 302 bhp.
5. It rides like a Merc.

Mercedes-Benz 2006 CLK 350 Cabriolet

I'm happy I traded my 1990 Buick for my CLK cabriolet. I'm getting to know the coupe more each day. A lot of other makers imitate it but its better to own the real thing..

CLK 320
I bought my 2004 CLK 320 coupe in October after admiring my sister's for over a year. I did my research before buying and like many folks posted above, I liked the fact that it was reliable, powerful, and still aesthetically pleasing. I enjoy driving it and the relative ease of maintenance makes the cost of ownership affordable.
I am in the process of fixing the things that have worn out over time (suspension, headliner, motor mounts), and replacing the things that have become obsolete: (I replaced the cassette player stereo system with a double DIN multimedia player, and will be ugrading to a 4ohm amp, speakers, and subwoofer).
I'm glad I bought this car.

Because they are worthless lol. Mine as well hold onto it. Why buy a new car and have a huge payment at a high interest rate.

Angry I Love Mine

My 205 CLK 320 cabrio Works like new, looks like new. Because I live in California my Governor is forcing us to buy electric cars in next 12 years. No more new gas cars will be sold in California. You can still buy a used one but the cost of gas will be around 9 or 10 dollars a gallons. I wished I lived in Arizona.

I love the 69 Camaro feel and look (2 door hardtop), but I was intoxicated by the lure of a 5 liter. Honestly, if I could find a low mile w208 4.3 in mineral green, I would swap my w209. The 208 just works better for me.

CLK 350A Cabriolet
Why am I keeping my CLK?

O

OMG Just Look at It. Yes the some of the other MB's are nice and very sporty. This 08 is perfect, got it with 43,565 Miles on it in Franklin, TN from an elderly couple in 2021. Did have to put a Fuel pump and do the csp's on it but for a 6 cylinders it runs. I have beat two Lexus's and a Acura in the Quarter on the bypass. (MB's want-a-be's I say) Yes there is a few flaws, but there flaw in everything. It's quick and Sporty and the main reason I purchased it cause it has a back seat so I can carry my grand kids, they love it when I put the top down. I do too.

I feel like “look at it” is definitely the correct answer, like the previous poster mentioned. It’s a great overall car and a blast to drive. Why would I get rid of it.

Car looks great! For what you would be able to get for it and for what money is put into it you could never buy something comparable for the price.

Thanks! Yeah of course not, but this is not about money. This car is almost a classic. I'd rather be driving something that has some classic lines to it than some overstyled POS from the last couple of years. Plus, the level of tech in the car currently is better or the same as any modern car, so not missing much there.

2010 E550 Coupe
I'm hanging on to mine because I haven't really found another reasonably-priced car that fits my current needs/wants.

The successor to the CLK (E class coupe) kept the M273 engine for 2010 and 2011, but switched to the M278 in 2012. A low-mileage 2011 E550 coupe (which hasn't been trekked all over the country and which has a halfway reliable history) is virtually impossible to find. I'm not a big fan of the M278 engine- it's significantly more complex than the M273, and it doesn't appear to be a consistently reliable or long-lived engine. So that's out. Newer/other Mercedes models of interest are either exorbitantly expensive to purchase, too problematic or expensive to maintain, too unreliable, and/or are too boring (standard V6 E class coupe, for instance). A Corvette is probably next on my list, but my current garage is too narrow for one, so I'm probably going to wait until I move within the next year or two to buy one. Anyhoo, that's why I'm keeping mine. Plus it's fairly cheap to keep running at this point!
