Need pull straps for cabriolet top

Does anyone have a set of the pull straps we are supposed to have to manually lower the tops they would like to sell? I was unaware that they weren't there when I bought my car and think I should probably have them just in case. wish i could find a wrecked clk to get them out of.

They are nothing special, just a loop of nylon strapping with a plastic handle around one section. It's easy enough to fashion replacements out of a cheap nylon strap. All you;re doing is pulling the hinge so they pop up. If you want originals parts, order two:

I have never found anything in my car that resembles what you are describing. Did they come with all convertibles? I checked the link you provided hoping to see a picture, I found "assist straps" listed and shown in a diagram, couldn't get a good look though.

They were included as standard equipment on all cabriolets. They would be located in the trunk, along with a pair of gloves, an Allen wrench, and the tow bolt. I think in mine, the straps and the Allen wrench were actually stuffed into the gloves.

I had gloves, still have the Allen wrench and tow bolt, those were in the tray above the spare tire with the jack. Don't ever remember having the straps.
