CLK 500 "sulfur" smell?????
I have been having a problem with a "sulfur like" smell coming from my 2003 CLK500 after it is warmed up. The smell is noticable in my garage or driving with the windows or sunroof open. The dealer is unable to confirm a problem (though they have tried),
My dealer has given me excellent service in the past and they are trying to help with this situation. If anyone has had this problem (and had it corrected) I would appreciate hearing what occured.

I've also had this problem, and brought the car back to the dealer. They said that it could be the A/C system, so they tried flushing the system. The smell died down, but after a few days it came back again........I've seen posting on this forum that this may be caused by the condensed water reservour in the A/C system. They also said that before you shut off ur car, turn off the A/C and let the wind dry the water out. I've tried this, but the smell kept on coming back......

The sulfur smell is from the catalytic converters and has been a problem with 03 and 04 w209's. Do a search as I posted a detailed article about this problem. It should go away after 6-7k miles and the flash software update for the ecu did not help with my 03 last year.
