Brabus Sport Exhaust on W209

Does anyone have a picture of a 500 with the Brabus Sport Exhaust?

I am doing reserach for a new exhaust and came across the Brabus. Do you gain any horse power with this upgrade. If you do gain, how much does it add?

Is it also a direct bolt on?

Thanks for your help.

RE:PICS

See attached link to Harris at Harton Motorwerks. He has a great gallery of modded CLK's.

Looks great! Did you get any increase in horse power when you did the upgrade? Is the rear bumper stock?

I am deciding on the AMG exhaust or Brabus.

RE: HP

I don't notice any real increase, I heard it up's maybe 3-5 HP. I mainly did it because I wanted a better look and sound. That one piece tailpipe on the stock CLK500 is terrible. The Brabus has a real nice deep sound to it and has dual chromed pipes. The bumpers in that pic are the stock AMG, but the new pis will be up with the full Brabus body kit. I am just waiting for one of the final finishing pieces.

The Brabus exhaust is a stright swap out from the stock exhaust as well. Installation is super quick!!

Can I install the brabus exhaust and keep the stock bumper on the clk 500? Do I have to cut the bumper to make way for the two tail pipes? Any welding or cutting... or just bolt on...

I am really interested in one!!

thanks.

What do you think about changing the rear apron to a brabus and getting the brabus exhaust but leaving everything else AMG, front apron and sides left intact.

Will it look funny or not blend in well with two different vendors. I am trying to avoid buying everything at once.

From the pictures I could tell the Brabus exhaust was too big for the AMG rear apron.

Re: Install

You can definitely put on the Brabus exhaust and keep the AMG rear apron as in the pics at Harton Motorwerks. NO mods are necessary or any cuts of any sort are required for the fit.

There are many combinations of exhausts and aprons, but the ultimate decision lies with what you want. Don't rely on what other people like since you will be spending the $$$ and will have to be happy with it.

I personally think the Brabus exhaust is too big for the AMG rear apron. I have since changed my rear apron to Brabus and see a more "muscular" look to the rear of the CLK. I don't like how that AMG rear cuts and angles up to the top of the trunk.

Good Luck to you both!

I just purchased the Brabus exhaust from Harton for my 2004 CLK500. Harris said no MODS at all. It will defintely look and sound better than the stock exhaust.
