08 CLK350 U0101 Code
I bought this car from a MB dealer last October and it ran fine until last week. It is losing the connection to the TCM but if you turn it on and off again it will return to normal. When plugged to an OBDII it gave me the codes P2006, P0025 and U0101. I went to the dealer but it was running perfect at that time and couldn't duplicate the problem. A local MB repair shop told me-without looking at it-that that was the valve body and they charge $1400 for the entire labor, parts and programming. Everything I have read points to an open circuit around the CAM area. If anyone has experienced a similar problem, please guide me.

You are using a generic OBDII scanner - it won't read the MBZ-specific TCU codes. YOu need to scan with a tool that reads MBZ codes, like SDS (dealer's Star Diagnosis) or something like iCarsoft i980.
The reality is what you are told is likely correct. The 722.9 transmission have a problem with the internal speed sensors and to fix it requires replacing the conductor plate. This is pretty much a dealer-only job and $1400 seems to be the going rate.
