Star ornament on the 04 CLK possible?

Star ornament on the 04 CLK possible?
I would like to go with the classic star ornament on the hood instead of the flash ornament has anyone done this ? I'm also replacing my grill to a flash grill with no emblem.

Once that hole is drilled in the hood of my car, I would be tempted to go the whole hog and install a Rolls Royce flying lady as my new hood ornament, or perhaps go with a quick-detach mounting hole, so that I could match my hood ornament to my current mood, with the Mack truck bulldog, or perhaps the Bentley flying "B" on hand for quick, on-the-fly replacements.

It would ultimately look like the C55 front end. It's possible. There was a C55 at my sailing club a couple years ago and it really did look quite nice with the straight grill and the ornament. I did consider it, I'd love to have that view across my bonnet, but wasn't sure how it would fit with the car as a whole.
I also do not know how easy it would be to source a blank grill. I see a few cars around with both the ornament and the more sporting star on the grill. This looks horrific.
