Does anyone know how to diagnose the phone cradle ?

Does anyone know how to diagnose the phone cradle ?
I have a Viseeo adapter and it's getting no power from the phone cradle in the arm rest. It looks like the wiring from the cradle has come a bit loose. Does anyone know how to acutally diagnose these with a multimeter or something ?
