Drivers Headrest...

Dumb question of the day: Is the drivers side headrest supposed to not go down all the way? The passenger headrest goes down all the way but mine doesnt, it stays up about 3 inches or so.

I tried removing it and then inserting it while holding down the control button on the door but no joy.

Thoughts please?

The dealer will have to replace the headrest motor to repair the height

My guess is that it is a busted motor also, but regardless, before dealing with a formal service visit, you might want to pull off the seat back (2 torx screws at the base of the seatback, should take you 10 secs to pull it off) and make sure that the headrest guide rods are still connected to the plastic connector fitting that attaches to the motor/actuator. If that came loose (which doesn't seem likely or something that would produce the fault you've observed), it'd be a really easy thing to fix yourself. HTH
