Question anyone know how to install a new shift knob?

Greetings all...

just got a wooden shift knob and I'm checking to see if anyone has installed one on their own. I am thinking it is as simple as unscrewing the old one, and then screwing in the new one.

But before I try and accidentally break something, I figured I would ask you guys first.

Let me know. Thanks!!
