using oil extractor on a clk500

I wanted to get an oil extractor to do oil changes so i don't need to lift the car . But i dont see a dip stick in the engine bay . Is there a way to use this with a 2004 clk500?

You have almost 500 post or I'd give you the answer. Instead I will advise you to google it.

I don't think our engine has a dipstick. So unless you can feed it down where the oil filter goes, you maybe can't do it. But I would think that would have been mentioned by now with all the threads on extractors. But I guess insame1 would have told you by now if only you had fewer posts????

Not trying to be rude but this has been covered many times. I figure if you have been around long enough to have 500 post then you should know how to search by now.

Part of me asking here is to get an idea of what experience people had doing it vs the conventional way . Maybe people tried it and they found out it doesn't take out all the oil . After all the forums are not just about how do i do this and that but for people to give there experience . There is nothing wrong with asking . If your taking the time to type back a response like" I can tell you but you should google it and figure it out ".Then either don't click on the post or waste you time actually helping .

I changed my oil that way, and was also concerned, but it takes out enough that you can add the specified amount.

I do help out all the time but I am not going to help someone that wont help themselves. Did you even look in the engine bay? If you did I bet you would have seen it. Search my name. If you Ask a good question with good info I will be the first to help you out. On the flip side if you as a question that has been covered many many times ill be the first to call you out. Especially if you are not a new member I would have hoped you picked up on the this forum works.

I have had this conversation on this forum already. Included links to youtube videos that show the difference between the two methods and my personal experience. In that same thread was links to different devices and others experiences.

here is some links that I found on google in about 2 seconds.

It may not have a red cap - some are black. Also, don;t confuse the oil dip tube with the transmission tube. The oil dip tube cap will pull off easily, and can be seen with the engine cover in place. The transmission dip tube cap has a locking tab so it won't come off easily, and it sits lower, so you have to remove the engine code to access it.
