Thick grease?
From the factory, cars have certain exposed wear points lubricated with a very thick grease-like substance. For example, on convertibles, the four
"hooks" where the top and back panel latch at the rear of the car are lubricated with it. It's way, way thicker than something like wheel bearing grease, and it almost adheres to the surface and is extremely hard to simply wipe off. What is that stuff, and can it be purchased in small quantities? Or is there a suitable substitute?

NO LONGER ACTIVE
I know what you are talking about. I always thought it was just a very thick lithium grease I checked WIS and see no mention of any special lubricant for those areas. Maybe someone else knows.
