Driver Seat Issue

Hi all,

Got two issues with my driver seat:

1. When I fold the seat forward to get access to the rear seats and put the seat back in place, the car thinks it's still isn't secure. I usually have to try it a few times rigorously before the warning goes away and can use the electronics on it.
2. Probably as a result of point 1, but the seat is starting to get creaky.

Any fixes?

Thanks!

NO LONGER ACTIVE
It's a common problem. Sometimes "slamming" the seat back into place will fix it. if it;s not fully locked in place, that could cause squeaks

I had the exact same 2 problems not long ago and fixed both:

1. Check this entire thread. It contains the solution with pictures. https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...k-how-fix.html

2. Check my post here. That's how I fixed it: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ml#post7344584

Good luck.

Reset seat

If you can get hold of a scanning tool reset the seats and this may fix the seat adjustment issue. I did this on mine and the whole seat reset and performed a forward, back, up, down etc motion and this reset any previous stored memories that’s were hindering seat movement.

That's exactly what I did and it fixed the problems - memory somehow locks in and won't release thus a hard reset needs to be made to prompt it.
