CLK350 Supercharger for M272 Engine!
Hi,
I have posted under CLK group but this concerns any Mercedes car with an M272 engine.
For a long time I was looking for any way to increase the power of my stock CLK350 which currently produces 272hp.
No one proposes a serious power upgrade beside an ECU remap. I was told that Brabus does by increasing your engine displacement by 0.5Litres (for E3.5) but they dont do it anymore and it would have cost me twice the price of the car anyway.
I have found a company in Germany who Supercharge your 350 engine and increases the power up to 380hp??!!

So my question is, has anyone dealt with them in the past? or has anyone supercharged their 350 (M272) engine?

So I contacted this company and this dude said that Stage 1 price which is ECU Remap and Sports Air filters cost 1,500 Euros!!!!
And for the cherry on the cake, the stage 2 which is the supercharger is another 21,000 Euros!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!
So basically I got my car for 10k$ lets say I do stage 1 which is roughly 1,9k$ (with today conversion rate) and stage 2 is 26k$, that is a total of 37,9k$ for only 380hp.
With this budget I could buy a nice CLK63 AMG PLUS another CLK550 for daily drive.
I wonder if this guy has ever sold even one supercharger to anyone? How his business is sustainable? He is twice the price of KLEEMANN...

I think part of the reason Kleeman d/n offer a supercharger for the 550 is that there is just not enough of a market for it. Just not enough bang for buck to be attractive to enough people to make a profit. The value proposition for a 350 is even more elusive. So unless one wants to mod in forced induction "just because" and the cost component is not a primary driver (Enthusiast), it will always (~99.X%) be a better option to buy another car......
