She’s Back! Custom all done
After a few years of putting this project on hold, I finally got to take her out yesterday!
Mom so excited and love how everything turned out! Even though this car is now 9 years old, it’s like brand new now! Check out the finished product! What do you all think?
Custom fenders, custom black chrome mesh with chrome fins, chrome wheels and different tires,
completely new design of front fascia, with custom chrome mesh, chrome inserts, and new fog lights
Can’t really see in this photo, but totally custom tail pipes were also installed, along with larger space for them and different rear mesh.. also black chrome

I have wondered from time to time whatever happened to you. I recalled you had posted several years ago about having custom panels made. It's interesting. It looks like it could have been made that way. I'm not a huge fan mostly because I never really cared for the MB model car this sort of mimics - the one with a "nose." I'm also not a fan of chrome wheels, but overall I think it looks like a well done, quality effort, and not butchered or like it's on steroids, like so many custom jobs.

Very nice custom job especially with the SLRish front! Well done and enjoy the drive.

Yeah, we sold our house, moved our business and I ended up starting my own practice after I finished my doctorate, so she kind of got put in storage for a while. It was a huge undertaking for me and not something i had really wanted to do, but with so much fraud in many medical practices, i felt i was forced into it if i wanted to run and honest and helpful practice of getting people healthy.
Anyway, Of course some of the pieces are totally one of a kind for now, some of them are also available for purchase as they made new molds for many of the parts such as the fenders, hood and front fascia.
Some of you may remember me saying that I liked the SLK front end, but had two kids and needed the four seats. Our kids are driving now, so they don''t ride with me all that much anymore. My son has joined the Marrines too.. A lot has changed, but she is even faster and more fun to drive now. A little louder then i am comfortable with, but my husband didn't tell me he changed the exhaust until i went to get it. Right now, I am just delighted to have it back and have some fun with those paddle shifters that i love!

If you mean to be displayed when you reply; use "Quick Links" - "Profile" - and then add list as part of your "Signature"..... otherwise I don't know what you mean.

Wow looks so clean! The only thing I can't stand are the wheels but I've never been a fan of chrome wheels.. Other than that the entire thing looks like it came from the factory honestly. Mind telling us how much was involved in this project? I just see big $$$$ doing such a thing!

Each part was hand crafted/sculpted using various media to get the desired look A mold was pulled off those parts then fiberglass with steel reinforcement parts were constructed. they are available for sale through MPD, Inc. They usually focus on GM vehicles, but i have some pull there and was able to get this done.

Impressive undertaking..... And, I to like shinny things.... Haven't had any chrome wheels but I have stripped aluminum wheels and polished them to a high gloss.

I came really close to buying an SL550 in Deisgno matte black. Normally, I don't care for odd colors and finishes like that, but I really liked it. It had polished wheels but with a sort of "smoked" finish and that was OK. THe only reason I didn't buy it was because the day before I decided to pull the trigger, it sold.

They weren't actually my first choice, but the wheels i wanted would have cost a grand each wheel because they would have had to make a custom set to match my bolt pattern. I really liked the foose wheels that i see on a lot of camaro's. My husband picked these out and surprised me with them.
