Car stuck in limp/safe/home mode

I am new to this whole forum deal so bare with me!
I bought a 01 clk 430 178000 for$2500 sound like a steal right? Well so did I! Now the car has been in limp mode for a while now! I have changed the transmission filter, gasket, oil 8 qts of MB trans oil, I changed the conduter plate, replaced the transmission solenoids and the 13 pin connector. I have also disconnected the battery over night! Still in limp mode I use a diagnostic hand tool p0715 input speed sensor? Clear the codes and yes you guessed it still Iin limp mode! I did the whole reset transmission many times and still in limp mode! I had read on some other forum that the car had to be taken to a MB dealer to get the car outta limp mode and to get the transmission repogramed? So I make an appt with my local MB dealership and tell them what the car was stuck in limp/safe mode I told them all the parts I have changed and still in limp mode I told them that I don’t need a diagnostic I just want them to get the car outta limp/safe mode? I drop it off and a day and a half later I get the call around 5pm that I can come pick up my car! I get to the dealership and the service writer tell me he has bad news, that his tech drove the car and verified that is was in limp/safe mode upon further inspection that the car had 0 qt of transmission oil ( which was b.s. cause I seen them being poured in with my own two eyes ) and that when hooking it up to their diagnostic machine it gave the code 147 the gear is sporadically implausible or the transmission slips sporadically??? wtf does this mean? The tech recommended that the need a new transmission and tourqe conv. Or get it replaced ! Then he quotes me a price of $10k for a tran&trq conv!! Gtfoh! Then he mentions that maybe there’s a shop that can do it for $3500-$5000???? Ok well did you guys get it outta limp/safe mode and didn’t give an answer! You were to think if I didn’t have any transmission oil that the tech would tell the desk to call me and ask if I would like to top it off so the car wouldn’t break down due to no oil? Sure didn’t call to even ask me!! They didn’t give 2 🤬 about me just took my $200 didn’t fix the problem or even offer a soulution other than a new trans and trq conv??? I drive my car home going no faster than 40 mph🤬 and I’m almost to the point of replacing the transmission and trq conv with a used on with about 90k on it works fine no problem. I just don’t want to spend money on a used trans if the car to this day runs just fine just not past 40 mph🤬 so if the car still runs and the transmission isn’t slipping and I hear that the 722.9 trans is one of the best MB made. Pretty much bullet proof! So I know that I don’t need the trans to be replaced! Now if the car didn’t move at all then yea I need a new trans. But the car still runs strong! Any advice, suggestion, tips, web sites or owners that have the same issue and got it fix I would like to know how it was done and what was the cause of it!!! I just don’t want to sell it and later find out it was fuse!!!!!

Your car is a W208. This is the 209 forum. You should post in that forum.
