2006 CLK350 Coupe Rear Driver Window Stuck
Hi guys,
I just picked up a 2006 CLK350 last week and everything was working great.
Then out of the blue, the rear driver side window won't roll down all the way, or even up all the way to seal the door window properly.
I didn't disconnect the battery or anything. I tried re-syncing the windows but it won't event do that. I can hear the click it makes when you hold the window button up, but window still not sealing.
I even tried pulling the fuses out of the driver side fuse box, to no avail. Only thing I haven't done is actually disconnect and-reconnect battery.
What am I doing wrong? There are so many different window sync instructions out there, maybe I did not perform the steps properly.
Any advise would help a lot, thank you.
Chris

Hi Chris - welcome to the forum!
It's probably a failed window regulator. You'll have to remove the paneling to check it out. Search the forum for instructions on this - I know I've posted them at least twice. Also, if it is the regulator, I recall someone finding a repair kit on eBay that saved a good bit of money over buying a whole new one.

Chris,
I just went through this on a 2005 CLK320 convertible. I believe the convertible is much more complicated. As one person, posted, "this is not for those who are feint at heart" or something like that. Basically you had to remove the entire rear interior of the car. I believe the coupe is much easier. The repair kit on ebay works and it's a great deal. The regulator is very expensive. My recommendation is to ensure you have an interior tool. They sell them with car stereo installation kits. The pronged wedge works very well to get the interior pieces to pop off. As always takes lots of pictures and use some little cups to keep your bolts straight. I worked on my car over several days and took my time. I really recommend that. Post here if you come up with any challenges. Good luck!
