fuel capacity

is 16.2 gallons, with 2.1 left at reserve, so you are pretty close.

I don't get it, why are you unhappy, every car has 16.2. If you want to drive the remaning 2-3 gallons, you can, I usually do.

Cool

Perhaps he misunderstands - looks like English is his second language. The tank holds 16.2 gallons when full. The reserve light comes on at ca. 2.5 gallons ( it seems to vary car-to-car ), meaning you have used 13.7 gallons of fuel. You put in 13 gallons, so perhaps you could put in a little more, or not. Some pumps will shut off earlier than others will, depends on the station.

IMO it is false economy to run the tank all the way to empty, since this will stir up sediment at the bottom of the tank and cause premature filter plugging. Always keeping the reserve in the tank is a good idea anyway, in case you really need it on a dark and stormy night...
