Everything in drivers door dead

Got a couple of questions regarding my 2006 CLK350.

Everything in the drivers side door is dead. I'm assuming it is likely a ground (or lack of) issue. Checked all the fuses related to the systems in that door.

Questions:
1) Is there a master ground wire from the door to the body? if so where does it show up on the body side?

2) I've been trying to remove the door panel.. There are several videos on this out there, but for some reason this door seems to be different than what i see out there. I pop the tabs out of the perimeter of the door and remove the screw under the door handle, but it looks like there is another screw under the faux wood trimplate....is there actually one there? what am i doing wrong?

Thanks

First, it is not faux wood. It is real. There is no screw behind there. If you have a coupe, there is a screw behind the little SRS badge.

I assume you also remove the tweeter and the chrome plate inside the door jamb. Once you have all the screws out and the clips undone, you have to life both up and out. There is a plastic hook on the panel that goes into a slot on the metal door that you have life up to clear.

check if your steering wheel adjustment is working, if not it’s that fuse.

Thanks..This steering wheel adjustment does work..

Also that while the power mirrors work on the passenger side they also are dead on the driver side. Do you know if the mirrors also work off the DCM?

I found a used DCM to replace this one once I can figure out how to get the door panel off..lol
