Drained the transmission

Just finished re-doing the pan. What a PITA! After I put it back on and started putting the fluid back in I immediately saw I had a leak again down the side. This time the seal had pushed outward when the pan was tightened. I was able to loosen the bolts a little and push it back in while getting fluid all over me. haha. That has to be the worst gasket I have ever seen! Anyway, all done. Drove it and no leaks for the past hour. For the next person doing this for the first time... Strongly recommend running your finger around the the entire outer edge making sure the gasket is sitting right after putting the bolts in.

I figgured a trany oil and filter change at the stealership was going to cost a butload of cash, so I purchaed the tools I needed to do the job. After the first time used, they will more than pay for themselvs. The I980 is a great tool for the price (I'm sure there are better ones), and a vacuum pump that holds at least 9.5 liters is around a hundred bucks. As for the oil pump, just go out and buy a 3 gal sprayer and hack off the spray wand and hook it up the the proper fitting (12 bucks) and Bob's your uncle. I even added a port to hook up air to it so I don't have to pump.
Parts from MB: Oil, filter, gasket, torque converter plug (gasket attached), drain plug gasket, and 6 new bolts. $200 CDN
Vacuum pump (amazon ) $150 cdn
sprayer (UFA) $40 cdn.
I980 Can't remember maybe $170 cdn????
I've got pictures if anybody is interested.
Dealership to do the job probably over $1200 and they would probably fack something else up in the process.
