Ignition Coil plug replacement help
I am getting intermittent misfires on cylinder 5. When checking connections, it was difficult to remove the plug to the coil. In the process the plastic connector pin cover on the coil shattered. (Yes, I know how to remove the plug). The plug had a white residue on it and I am assuming it was from the radiator failure I had several months ago. Though I had cleaned things up pretty good after I got the radiator replaced. Apparently not......
I replaced the coil and the spark plug (actually changed all the spark plugs). A few days later the problem reoccurred. Have gotten P0305, P0300, and P0355 error codes.
I have put tension on the wiring/plug for #5 by twisting the cable before putting the connector plug onto the coil. It has run that way for a couple weeks.
I want to replace the connector plug/wiring but can not find the part to do it. There are repair kits for other cars but not MB. I have the plastic connector itself (new) but it does not have the wires.
Is the part (ignition connector/plug and wiring (pigtail) not available for this car? Does anyone know of a source to get the connector with wires or just the wires with the female connector. I can put it together myself if needed. Any help much appreciated.

I think you can buy the plastic connectors (a.k.a. "clutch"), but that's only the part that clips onto the coil. If it's the wire itself that is broken, the official repair is to replace the entire engine wiring harness.

Thanks Rodney. I was afraid that would be the MB repair solution. I think at least one of contact connectors at the end of the wires in the plug is defective or has a bad connection to the wire. I'll find a tool to more easily remove them from the plug. Hopefully I can repair (solder) any that I find bad and insert them into the new plug. May get lucky.
