Soft top #22 hydraulic line

There’s the cracked #22

What tools to disconnect?
haven’t been able to use my soft top for months because of a cracked hydraulic line. I found a replacement. What would be the procedure for replacing this. How do you disconnect the hose from the pump and the strut? I understand that filling up the lost hydraulic fluid isnt so hard. Anybody know the step by step process here?

The straight end is what connects to the pump. All of the hydraulic lines at the pump are held in place by a plate. You remove three bolts holding the plate to the valve block and then you can slide it back, unplug the line from the valve block, and remove the snap ring from the connector so it will slide through the plate. This may help:

The elbow end connects to the cylinder. There is a small plate that holds it in place. I think it's held on by a bolt. Remove the plate, and the line unplugs. Note that on both ends, once the backing plates are removed, there is an o-ring seal so it may take some twisting and pulling to get the line out of its seat.

I was able to remove the #22 hose. HUGE pain in butt getting the plate off to remove the hose. The bolt in the rear of the plate was nearly impossible to remove without having to remove the whole pump! And I had some trouble removing and reinstalling the snap ring. I was able to install the new hose and now I’m about to add more hydraulic fluid. My question is:
once I add more fluid am I finished with the job? Do I have to bleed the system???

It is self-bleeding,though it may take many cycles to get all the air out. You'll know because the pump will sound "rough" when it has air in the system, and will smooth out once it's all cleared.
