Mileage problem

My clk320 has around 65k on it. It has gotten wet and is now showing 999999 on the odometer. Is there anything that can be done to fix it

Exactly what got wet? The odometer value is stored both in the instrument cluster and the EIS (ignition switch). Whenever they don't agree, you usually get "------" on the display. I suspect you have a problem with the EIS and cluster communicating. This is going to be a difficult problem to diagnose and will require not only SDS (Star Diagnosis) but someone with skills in how these devices work internally - which is probably not the dealer as they will just want to swap parts - cluster, then EIS - until it works.

the dash didn't get wet, just the inside of the car. Our dog chewed the key on it so it wont work in the ignition but u can still push the button to start. Could that be the issue

I don't believe this has anything to do with the key. Since you have KeylessGo, it;s just an RF interface, so if it recognizes the key, then that isn't the issue.

So, you say the "inside" got wet. Can you give more detail on that?

The doors and floors. After we got the top up so it wouldn't get any wetter we noticed moisture on the radio screen but never saw water on the dash to indicate it being wet

There's a bunch of wiring that runs in the door sill channels, including a large junction bar for the CAN bus behind the driver's side kick panel. I'd check there for water intrusion.
