Voltage regulator maintenance : 2007 C209 M273

I'm looking for videos, pictorials, textual how-tos, or better yet, a WIS excerpt. From what I can see under the hood and from what I have gleaned from a few posts in M-B forums and the internet in general, I should be able to raise the front end and maintain the part from under the car. But, I haven't found anything specific to my car. A WIS would be nice since it will have torque settings, especially if I have to remove the alternator. Thanks.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The voltage regulator is attached to the back of the alternator. It's possible to replace while on the car, but it's probably easier to remove the alternator first. There is a plastic cover over it that has to be removed, then bolts attaching it to the alternator. Remove the negative battery lead before working on the alternator.
