Clk 200 Kompressor
Will someone please shed some light on this model? In particular, how responsive is the 1796cc engine in normal driving conditions?
The U.K. M-B brochure suggests a Rated Output (hp at rpm) of 163/5500 which doesn't sound too shabby when you consider that the figures for the CLK 240 are 170/5500.
Rated torque (Nm at rpm) is suggested as 240/3000-4000 (the same figures for the CLK 240 are 240/4500).
Any comments will be appreciated.

CLK Coupe 200 Komp 53 Plate
I've driven both the clk 240 and I own a clk200 komp, the komp is great driver really responsive, and quick off the mark the only driving different was the clk240 seemed louder.
The clk has plenty off kick down and power im 21 my friend drive cosworths rs turbos skyline etc and my komp has them all. its a lovly motor with plenty of power

CLK 200 KOMPRESSOR Elegance
Yeah I've driven both and I find the Kompressor has more "get up and go". The new engine feature twin counter rotating balancer shafts which smooth out and typical 4 Cyl. roughness !
These newer engines are a far cry from the older original Kompressors !
Dunno if I'd outrun any Cosworths though !!

CLS350
ive got the 200 and i picked it over the 240 for several reasons, all of which im sure the other 200 owners will agree with.
I think the pick up is not bad, ofcourse im used to driving bigger engines from living in the States but a 200 is perfect for city driving in HK. And you do get the same torque output as the 240 except at an earlier RPM. Go with the 200, save cash, wait for a quality pulley ECU kit and you're golden.
