Harmonic balancer warping and noise
I noticed while diving a ticking noise and when I open my hood my harmonic balancer pulley looked warped. I noticed the rubber was separating from the pulley. I order a used pulley off ebay . It should be here thursday so I have a few day to get ready . I going to buy a 43mm or 1 1/16 socket and puller. what other tools will I need and instruction would be great. I used to work on cars so I know what I'm doing I just need tips.. Impact gun do I really need one or can I cheat with a pry bar and click the ignition trick .......

Yeah I saw that video thank you but that does not apply to my vehicle. That pulley has notches in groups where you can stick a device inside and hold it my pulley on the M272 engine does not have that option. It looks like I’m gonna have to get an impact gun my only problem is I don’t have a compressor so I hope that the cordless ones will be more powerful enough to do the job does anybody know if it will be. Worst case scenario I take it to my local mechanic . My mechanic for $20 might be able to loosen it for me and then I can come back and he can tighten it for me if the core of this impact gun is not strong enough. Last but not least when you do take the nuts off to these police just come right out and no polar is needed it looks to me that you don’t need a polar you just got to manipulate it back-and-forth until it comes off like a rotor off of all wheel hub

I"m surprised no one has any info to help me take this off.
I may have to pay to have this replaced and I have never paid to have my car repaired ...
Will a cordless impact gun work or strong enough ? Do I have to take the radiator out ?
