Comand screen now all lines
2007 CLK550 and the Comand screen has now gone to all thin vertical and horizontal lines. If I let it sit overnight it will start up normally but within 5 minutes the nav screen starts to fluctuate and it fades to all thin lines. All buttons work. Radio is fine. CD player works. Can't tell about the nav since there is no real screen display. Cannot switch the screen to any other function (audio, phone, etc) because nothing changes the lines on the screen.
Time for a repair? Any suggestions? Do EBAY units work without programming? Anyone use a repair facility before?

It may just be a problem with the screen, but you're probably better off replacing the whole unit. In fact, if I were in your situation, I'd probably go aftermarket to get updated features.
