Replacing Conductor plate . Have some questions.

Hey guys , So I am doing a Conductor plate swap since i am getting a speed sensor error. I have a few questions . Also if anyone has any pointers i would appreciate it .

1. Should i do OEM plate or is aftermarket ok ?
2. Should i change the solenoids ?

Is this a 722.6 or 722.9? If it's a 722.9, this is pretty much a dealer-only job due to SCN coding. For a 722.6, it's a simple swap. Personally, I'd go OEM on this part. I would not worry about the solenoids

Thanks for the reply guys . I have the 722.6 . The code I have says there is an issue with the speed sensor . is the speed sensor built into the conductor plate or is that an extra part ?

It is part of the conductor plate. I think there are some companies that sell just the sensor and a special tool to remove it, but it does require soldering onto a Mylar ribbon cable. I think I'd just replace the whole plate. Also, there is some school of thought that says the sensor itself does not go bad, but that the conductor place warps slightly with temperature changes and that causes the problem.

I *think* the speed sensor is the yellow piece
Y3/6n2 and Y3/6n3 in this picture, which is included in a new conductor plate.

UPDATE ***Thanks for the info guys . I ended up going to my mechanic and seeing if he can do the work since i am very busy . I had to reset the fault on the transmission last time it happened because it wouldn't shift past 2nd gear . After resetting it starting shifting fine again but the engagement of the gear was very faint . I didn't want to reset it but i was on the highway and I had no choice . When the mechanic put a code reader all he got was an engine code P2200 saying something about the TCU with another code P0715 . He said it might be a TCU issue and he suggested i find someone with Star or go to dealer to get a full diagnostic . I reset all the codes and will be driving it for the next few days to see what comes back .I also looked at the live stream of the transmission while i was driving and both speed sensors y3/6y2 & y3-6y3 are showing data and working . Any thoughts on This ?
