AC - Warm air when its hot outside cooler air when less hot
Hello out there:
Can someone look at these climate control diagnostic sensor values and suggest whats up. I am about to replace evaporator sensor.
FYI this is a 2003 clk430 convertible
I have hot air with AC on. I live in the desert so when outside temp drops to 90-100 its cool not cold air.... my diagnostic sensor readings are no error codes:
1.103
2. 107
3. 112
4. 103
5. 103
6. 228
7. 9-14......while driving on freeway
8. 107
9. No value
10. 0.8
20.6.0
21. 39
22. 114
23. 0
24. 14.3
40. 8
41. 5
42. 248
43. 14
I CLEANED the duo value parts just removing top half and replaced the rubber diafram which was torn.
Because it seems to have freom with increased pressure while driving i am assuming compressor is working. There seems to be change in rpm w L

Hi,
It seems the evap sensor is OK, since you don't have cold air. Compressor seems to work but not able to cool down due to heater core flow. Most likely that the duo valve needs replacing.

Hello Mashe and thanks.
I cleaned the duo valve at least the top half. I found the rubber diaphragm torn and replaced it. The plungers were alittle gucked up and i cleaned them. I did not totally remove the valve and i know there are two rubber washers underneath that can deteriorate. I did take a vicegrip and squeezed off the rubber hose into the duo valve to no effect.

Thanks. I unclamped it. I think this is electrical. Sensor values 20, 22 and 23 are now 0. I will check fuses again
