2007 CLK550 Head light burnt out... what should I replace with?

Hey all,

My driver's side headlight burnt out (ones on the outside not inside) on my 2007 CLK550 coupe and I'm either tired or not as good at the internet as I thought... Can anyone please tell me what to buy as an OEM replacement or any suggestions to upgrade to something better? Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to visit the User Control Panel and update your profile to include your car model and year, and your location (at least country). This information will then appear below your name and avatar on the left side panel next to each post you make. This will greatly help others to give you better information. If you are using the mobile version of the site, you will need to switch to the "full" version to get to the User Control Panel.

It looks like your car has HID "Xenon" headlights. If so, then you need a D2S bulb. Of course sometimes it;s not the bulb but the ballast or igniter that fails, but bulbs are fairly inexpensive, so I;d try that first. In fact, if the right side is working, swap bulbs and see if the outage stays with the bulb or the housing, then you'll know.
