Coupe Rear Windshield Trim
Picked up an 04 CLK500 recently and noticed that the rear windshield doesn't have any rubber trim, is this normal?
For those in cold climates does ice build up in this area?

That is correct, there is no trim. I don't live in a cold climate, so I don;t worry about ice, but debris can get caught in there, so I'd always clean it well when washing the car. And also clean arousn the ip of the trunk seal - the channel between it and the base of the rear windshield can get full of debris.

Thanks for the confirmation.
First Merc purchased after a dozen various BMWs and M project cars and I'm amazed with the little design details Mercedes put in this car. There are gaps in the bumper for water/rubbish to drain on left and right side of trunk opening and they are only visible if you look straight down. On all of my other cars during winter the rear bumper doubles as a rain gutter, not an attractive look.
