Socket and tail/parking light bulb problem

Hello there,
Could anybody confirm that the manual's recommended p21/ 4w is the right bulb for the tail light? See posted picture, it looks like the pins/lugs are not symetrically opposed and it doesn't fit in my slot. (Lower right for rear left panel).
It's for my 2007 clk550 coupe left rear tail light.
The way the retaining lugs on the bulb are, makes it impossible to plug the bulb in. See picture below.
Thank you very much.

This not the bulb/car I have, found that one on the internet, but it's exactly the same type p21/4w and same lugs placing on each sides. The pins are at an angle and won't fit my socket.
