2008 CLK550 Cab / 2001 S430
Speed Sensitive Steering?
I just bought a 2008 CLK550 and was wondering about the steering. My Audi steering starts very light but gets pretty darn tight, in a good way, the faster you go. On the CLK I can't really tell any difference in the steering at any speed. It always feels light. Is this normal for Mercedes?

Yes, that's pretty normal, especially if you have the "parameter steering" option, which I think most CLK550's did. I agree - it is a bit too light for my tastes. Our old C240 had much better steering feel. Also, my current SL550 also has the parameter steering, but it's much better. I seem to recall they made some changes to that system to make it better.
